“This is what the Lord says, ‘Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?’” Isaiah 66:1
On May 23rd the Global Gatekeepers & Friends came together for a zoom call where something deep occurred among us. As we entered a time of worship together, a perfume of worship began to arise that filled the atmosphere of our homes across the nations. Rodney Burton, one of our worship leaders from Belfast, Ireland began to sing the words,
“Pour us out like perfume upon the earth…”
As these words poured out as a beautiful offering, we were taken to a deep place in the Spirit—to the place of his longing and his desire. A “holy hush” came upon us as we heard the verse from Isaiah 66:1 that says, “…heaven is my throne and earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?”
We saw a vision of our fragrance of worship being poured out upon the earth. The earth is his footstool, therefore, as we are poured out as perfume upon the earth, we are poured out over his feet. GOD LOVES MANKIND! He gave his only son to be poured out as a sacrifice for all mankind that would pay our debts and offer grace as a pathway to salvation. He values each one far more than the costly jar of perfume that Mary poured over his feet.
“ARE NOT FIVE SPARROWS SOLD FOR TWO CENTS? AND YET NOT ONE OF THEM IS FORGOTTEN BEFORE GOD. INDEED, THE VERY HAIRS OF YOUR HEAD ARE ALL NUMBERED. DO NOT FEAR; FOR YOU ARE OF MORE VALUE THAN MANY SPARROWS.” LUKE 12:6-7
A momentary but deep silence came upon us where we knew that God was doing more in our stillness than in any words that we could say or prayers, we could pray. He was creating a “resting place” in us. The beauty of this resting place is that it was not only for him but became rest for our souls as well. We lingered in this rest throughout our time together.
“Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted on the earth.” Psalm 46:10
God wants us to enter his rest— he is removing the burden of carrying things in our own strength. He is shaking all our methods, systems, and traditions that have placed a heavy yoke upon his people. The glory and strength of his Spirit is replacing the limitations of human systems—even within the church.
“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:29-30
During our time together, Lilo Keller, who has walked with the global family for decades shared an encounter that she had with us. Her encounter was an invitation for us all. Here is the transcript of what she encountered,
I recently had a surprise visit from an angel. I was completely absorbed in worshiping God when I realized that I was no longer alone in the music room. Then, as if through a bright cloud, I saw a great angel flying toward me with a fiery, burning torch.
His form was entirely made up of flames of fire that had the appearance of feathers.
The angel never touched the ground, for he was on an important mission. He hovered in front of me and held the burning torch before of me with an outstretched arm.
In my spirit, I realized that the torch was meant for me to receive. As I received it from him, the angel flew off with a slight smile. At that moment, my eyes were opened, and I was amazed to see that an army of similar fire angels followed the angelic prince. They were also carrying burning torches. Even without words, I realized: The Lord had sent the angels “for such a time as this” to equip His people with fresh fire from heaven. Then I heard the following words in my spirit:
“For those who desire this heavenly ‘equipment’, various aspects of heavenly fire will become a blessing to them. It will purify those who welcome it and consume anything that is not acceptable to me. At the same time, it will be a bright light for them, a sharp weapon and a source of strength. Everyone who embraces the fire of my love in all, and any circumstances will be equipped for this final harvest with passion, authority and the power of my sevenfold spirit. This will result in an increasing fear of God, passion for God’s cause, increasing revelation, a touch by God’s holiness and anointing through the seven facets of the Spirit of God.”
We have been invited into this personal encounter—all who desire to receive this burning torch will receive it. What a blessing to have this beautiful “global mother” share her encounter with us in obedience to the Lord’s desire.
