A SPECIAL EDITION FROM THE BAHRAIN AND DUBAI GATHERINGS

“ONE HEART- ONE FAMILY- ONE GOD”

I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

John 17:22-23

Jesus’ prayer in John 17 has been the longing of God’s heart from the time of creation. When the Watchmen For The Nations family began the journey through Canada, almost thirty years ago, this was the longing that was carried in each heart. This longing has now been carried to many nations, tribes, and peoples. We are seeing the answer to that prayer happen is divine and unexpected ways.

The gatherings that took place in Bahrain and Dubai were yet another historic step where those who gathered were ushered into the oneness that is shared by the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Throughout the years many seeds have been planted and countless tears have watered these seeds of unity and family. Now we are seeing the harvest of these seeds throughout the nations, especially in the Middle East.

In Bahrain, those who gathered experienced a supernatural melding of hearts and family ties between the Bahrain family and the global family that traveled to stand with them in this place that is a spiritual gateway to the Middle East. High praise and oneness opened up the way for another significant melding of hearts. The Israeli and Palestinian family that was present in Bahrain experienced a reconciliation that restored identity and brought a deep spiritual and emotional healing between these two people groups. As they humbled themselves before the Lord and before one another-- asking God to remove from their hearts all offense and all divisions-- God not only unified their hearts but unified it in such a deep and divine way that it left no scar where there had been deep pain. We now stand in great expectancy that what occurred between a small remnant will release in the spirit a mass reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians.

There was also a time where the global family stood on the shores of Bahrain looking across the waters into Saudi Arabia. There they prayed for the believers in Saudi Arabia and decreed the blessings of Yeshua upon them and all those who are yet to come to know him. There is a longing to see our Saudi family joined to the global family very soon.

After Bahrain, all who gathered there flew to UAE for a gathering in Dubai. Once again God demonstrated how he can heal broken hearts and set captives free. A beautiful sister from Iran shared with a broken heart about the uprising and deadly protests in her nation regarding the oppression of woman. It all began with the death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old who was arrested by morality police on September 13, 2022 for violating Iran’s strict rules requiring women to cover their hair with a hijab (headscarf). This has sparked an unprecedented show of support for women’s freedom—especially among the young people in Iran.

As this sister poured out her heart, another sister from Japan shared how she had a dream the previous night where in it she saw the parting of the Red Sea. As the sea parted women in black hijabs (covering their heads and bodies) began crossing upon the dry land. As they crossed over a great wind came upon them, causing their hijabs to fly off of them and then they were all wearing beautiful, bright colored clothing. After this dream was shared, the men were led to repent for any way that they had carried in their hearts any residue of seeing women as “lesser than men.” This was a significant time of repentance and intercession, not only for what is happening in Iran but for women around the world. We cannot truly be one unless we see one another equally.

During the gathering in Dubai, there was one evening where all who gathered worshipped while holding candles. This was to signify that though the world is getting darker, the light of Christ will shine brighter and brighter amid great darkness. What a beautiful time this was filled with hope and unity. God is bringing his people back to his original intent that he shared with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden where the flow of oneness between man and God released a perfect harmony between creation and Creator. Our times together are like stepping into that harmony without any strife or effort—rest is restored as we experience a taste of Eden.

Michael and Ann Pierce live in Alberta, Canada. They have walked closely with us for over twenty years, beginning with the Canadian journey. Michael helped lead the Canadian prayer team in the early days of our journey. Our global family has been gathering in many nations over the past two months. Here is a recap of places we have been:

THAILAND

In October we had our first gathering in Thailand! What a joy and blessing it was for some of our global family to join the family in Thailand for this beautiful time. If you would like to view the sessions from this gathering, please watch them here.

KOREA

In October, there was also a pre-global gathering in South Korea that some of our global family joined in. There will be a Korean Global Gathering from February 22-25, 2023 in Seoul, Korea. JAPAN

David Demian and a small team traveled to Okinawa, Japan where a local gathering at Pastor Ito’s church was held. They brought together three generations of leaders. If you would like to watch this gathering from early October, please view it here.
