Mary picked up an alabaster jar filled with nearly a liter of extremely rare and costly perfume—the purest extract of nard, and she anointed Jesus’ feet. Then she wiped them dry with her long hair. And the fragrance of the costly oil filled the house.
John 12:3 TPT
For many in our global family, April could be likened to the breaking of the alabaster jar—being broken and poured out over the feet of Jesus. Though the price is costly, and the breaking is painful, the fragrance fills the whole house with the beautiful aroma of a “life poured out.”
Many from our family offered a costly sacrifice to be together in Egypt, as they crowned Jesus as King. Still, many others, stayed behind to intercede, cover and pour themselves over His feet from where they stood. The fragrance is filling the nations as the Father is seeing his Son crowned and honoured by all. Egypt became a beautiful alabaster jar that contained the fragrance of one family who pledged their allegiance to One God—Yeshua.
Our precious loved ones from Korea, Peter and Sophie Kim and family send their most sincere thanks and gratitude to the Global Gatekeepers family for how you have stood with them in prayer, in faith for resurrection, and in revealing what true family looks like as they faced the loss of their precious baby, John. This little one’s life drew us together in a deeper way than we previously had known. We believed together, we fought in prayer together, we wept together and now we grieve together. We also rejoice together as we see, even now, how the Lord turns what was meant for evil into good for all. Once again, we witness how God will have a child has led us—this time into deeper oneness as a family. Please continue to pray for Peter and Sophie as they walk through this time of deep grief.
As His bride, we will continue to embrace the breaking which releases the fragrance that fills the atmosphere with our love and gratitude for how His life was poured out for us. Let us continue to be intentional during this time to remember His sacrifice through the regular taking of communion in our homes and gatherings, through our prayers for the global family, and as we weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice. We will walk in unity with God, unity with one another, and continually give Him the highest praise.
One of our precious brothers, whose family also faced a deep loss in April, heard the Lord say to him, “This loss was not taken from you, it was sacrificed by you.” Once again, God turns even what the enemy meant for evil, into good for those in Christ. Our willingness to follow the Lord, wherever He leads, may be costly but any suffering or losses are considered holy sacrifices in the eyes of our God. They are seeds that will yield a great harvest.
Our time in Egypt was a deeply significant moment in history but it is merely a stop on the ongoing journey of seeing our Lord receive His full inheritance from every nation. The Lord says, “Egypt is mine” and we have aligned with His desire. We now continue to walk forward, knowing that each step is needed to see His Kingdom come here on earth as it is in heaven. We are one in Christ, therefore each step we take and every offering we bring (corporately and individually) brings blessing to all.
