On the first night, the Egyptians welcomed us with a beautiful and amazing feast. They shared many of their local dishes with us. We ate and danced into the night with the family!
The sound of Egypt was continually released in worship. A sound that calls nations into the freedom of their fullness, the sound of a loving mother-nation.
Representatives from Samoa shared their hearts with the family. They believe that the Samoan people are descendants of North East Africa, declaring that now is the time for them to “come home” and connect with their people. The hearts of the Samoans were filled with joy to return to their motherland.
Representatives from the First Peoples of Canada presented Egypt with gifts. They gifted Egypt with grains of wheat and a watch, declaring that “now is the time of harvest in Egypt!"
A representative from the International House of Prayer (IHOP-KC) gifted Egypt with a ceramic plate as a gift from the house of Mike and Diane Bickle, the father and mother of IHOP-KC. Illustrated on the plate were kernels of wheat, grapes, figs, and pomegranates, representing a prophetic picture of what God has called Egypt to be, a bread basket for the nations. As it was in the days of Joseph, it shall be once again.
An Egyptian woman travails in worship and prayer. A deep cry was released over their nation.
The Sound of Africa was released in a whole new dimension. There was a release of joy, depth, and an eager anticipation for all the Lord has in store for the continent of Africa as she comes into her calling at this hour.
The nation of Egypt fell at the feet of the African peoples after a Sudanese pastor shared his desire for repentance and reconciliation. Historically, African immigrants have not felt welcomed by the church in Egypt. Tears were shed and a cry for forgiveness rose from the Egyptian hearts. A desire to be together, and never be separated again.
The Lord is expanding the heart of Egypt to embrace the nations, as many from Asia came to the gathering this time. The depth of love that the nations brought to Egypt melted the hearts of the family. The families from Korea and China shared their hearts with the people of Egypt, giving testimonies of their sacrifice and journey. Both nations ended their time on stage by singing songs of thanksgiving and commitment towards the Egyptian family. A sweet time of embracing between Egypt and the nations followed.
Our gathering ended on October 6th, a celebrated day that marks the start of the last war between Egypt and Israel in 1973. This war resulted in negotiations that lead to the signing of the Camp David Accords in 1978 and brought peace between these two historic and neighbouring cousin nations.
A small team of the cousins spoke words of blessing and declared that the nation of Egypt is God's blessed people, and that the Lord is opening up the treasure box of "family" in and through Egypt. These representatives declared that true sons and daughters will be released in the nations, starting from Egypt. They prophesied that this gift is being released now, for the Body of Christ to experience family, God’s very own family, in a new, richer, and deeper sense.
Many Egyptians asked the Jewish people for forgiveness and committed to holding Israel and the rest of the nations in their hearts.
The family takes communion together, giving thanks and sealing all that the Lord had accomplished during this time in Egypt.
