Leaping into the Great Known

Do you not know?  Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
And His understanding no one can fathom. (Isaiah 40:28)

I want to know God's thoughts... all the rest are details (Albert Einstein)

Today we begin 21 days of consecration as an act of simple obedience to the Lord.  We don’t know fully why the Lord is calling us into this time or what the outcome will be.  What we do know is that amazingly we began 52 days of consecration last summer on the 9th of Av (which happened to fall on July 24th) and now the Lord is again leading us into a time of consecration that will end exactly on the 9th of Av.  As always,it seems the Lord is up to more behind our backs than in front of our faces!

So rather than trying to guess where we’re going or why we’re going or what we’re doing, let us choose today to simply rejoice in our God who is thankfully so far beyond the limits of human comprehension.  Let us extol His greatness as we commit to joyfully leap into the great "Known" - realizing that our safety and security is never in knowing what comes next, but in knowing Him and being known by Him in ever-increasing measures.

The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know.  But the man who loves God is known by God. (1 Corinthians 8:2-3)

All the rest really are just details.

With much love

Philippians 3:10-11
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Job 11:7-8
"Can you fathom the mysteries of God?
Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?
They are higher than the heavens-what can you do?
They are deeper than the depths of the grave-what can you know?
Their measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea.

Psalm 145:3-7
Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts. They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works.   They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds. They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
