How Good and Pleasant"We're so happy to be with you here all gathered together." Inuit leader Charlie Inuarak, addressed the Ottawa Gathering in Inuktitut, through his interpreter, Qalingo Tookalak. Charlie, a well-known Inuit Christian leader, was standing on stage with two other prominent leaders, Billy Arnaquq and James Arreak. "In the last year, the spirit of the Lord has been coming upon our ministry in a very powerful way, especially concerning Canada. And as I and my wife were studying the word of God, we found the greatest thing was that we must be one, we must be united. Jesus spoke in John 17 that this is his desire, and now that is also my desire. "But," Charlie continued with great candor, "I'm going to tell you how it has been in the North. These men here on stage with me are from different ministries. And to be truthful, we haven't really gotten along very well in the past. We didn't fight verbally against one another, but our actions showed that we were divided. And unknowingly we had been welcoming the spirit of division, an evil spirit, to come in between us into the North. Now I understand that if we are divided and we don't have the same heart and the same mind, then the Spirit of God will not move in his power. People are crying for the release, for freedom in the north, they are suffering and it is also the same in the rest of the nation of Canada - there is a great cry for release. And these people that are crying are saying, "Where are God's people?" Bu if we are divided and fighting among one another we can't answer them. So, today, now in your hearing and your sight, I want to speak to Billy. And that division that you do not see but that I know exists, I want to break that, Billy. And let's close the door to the evil spirit of division, right now." With that, Charlie looked heavenward and began to cry out loud, "Remember us Lord. Let the heavens open! We break the power of division right now. Let the heavens be open right now." And with that he reached over to Billy and to James and hugged them. After a long embrace, Billy Arnaquq responded to Charlie. "I'm very happy. This is the key for the Holy Spirit to move in a deep way. I realize this is a God appointed time that we are together in this place. I used to work with Charlie many times in the past. We have evangelized together. But along the way something deteriorated." "I am so happy that our relationship has been restored. Because of that I know the Spirit of God is going to move in a greater way. Despite the situation the Spirit of God has moved very powerfully in the north. But I feel the time is now that we make the sacrifice. If there is no sacrifice, the Lord can't move in a deeper way. So the leadership in this country needs to make a sacrifice to get closer to the Lord. We need to humble ourselves to one another. We need to submit ourselves one to another. I really believe this is a testimony to the rest of the country. There's a tremendous power in unity. Our commitment to one another must be so deep that we cannot be shaken. James and I have made a covenant with one another. Our relationship cannot be broken by circumstances. So I urge you in Jesus name, especially the leadership, humble yourself to one another, because we will be accountable before the Lord one day if we aren't obedient to Him. And we're going to commit ourselves to Charlie and Qalingo and Olayu and Elisapee and Martha. We're going to work together, no matter what the cost. The enemy will come and try to divide, but we will not give him right, we will stand strong." Then James Arreak, a young leader from the north, shared his perspective of what had just taken place, from the point of view of a spiritual son. "I wasn't there when Charlie and Billy started working together or when their relationship deteriorated. But to have inherited this kind of situation was hard. But now, to see this reconciliation, I know. We're about to rise up. I look to my fathers, the elders for their blessing. Because without them, I am very vulnerable. But with their unified support behind me, I have this confidence, not just in the Lord but knowing that I am covered by the fathers. Let me share something else with you. This is something I've learned through hardship as a son. I must recognize that I can't have it all. One man cannot have all of who God is. Not one ministry can't have all that God has. So we need to admit to this. We need to be able to humble. If we can come to that point, we will see the real truth. Praise the Lord! I'm just so overjoyed, Charlie and I want you to know, I want to be a blessing to your ministry. To all that you do." With this, David Demian stepped forward on to the stage, carrying a sceptre. I feel in my spirit, David said, "prophetically through what happened between Billy, James and Charlie, the sceptre of the favour of God has been released over Canada. And whoever would like to join in that spirit, whatever ministry, whatever province you live in, if that is your spirit why don't you stand with us. And I want the three Inuit leaders to come here and extend the sceptre to the nation and pray a blessing. As the three men held the sceptre together, Charlie Inuarak began praying. God, you have called Canada that it might be an example. And we three, Billy, James and I are also setting an example now. We have been divided before but now we break this so that our descendents, our children may see this as an example here in Canada. Father God I pray to you, and now I call Canada forth to arise. Let the kingdom come right now. Come right now! In Jesus name, Amen." Billy Arnaquq followed with this prayer for unity and blessing, " Lord forgive us for not being a good example. Lord forgive us for not working together in the past. As of this day, we commit ourselves to you. That we will flow together, that we will work together. And we believe that because of our love, people will see that God is in us and this country of Canada will be blessed. This country of Canada will be an example to the rest of the world. We speak the blessing that comes from the throne of heaven. That it will flow like a mighty river. That all the dry places will become fruitful. That the glory of God will come. That the works of the enemy will be destroyed. That the plans of God will be established. That God alone will be glorified. We thank you for your goodness. We thank you for your faithfulness and we give you glory in Jesus name. Amen!" Psalm 133
