Day 6 - Majesty… Finally…
Sunday July 29
by Stephanie Muzyka

The fall and early winter of this last year were some of the hardest times of my life. I experienced discouragement and a sense of hope deferred like I had never known. At night, I would have dreams of terrible hurtful experiences from my past. During the day, I felt like the enemy followed me around relentlessly reciting to me a list of my failures. I was acutely aware of “cycles of death” in my life, areas where though I had longed to know victory, I was powerless to change.

In the midst of this “dark night of the soul”, the Lord gave me a dream. I was running what I knew was a long race and I had just come in sight of the finish line. Other runners were right beside me and I knew the race for a medal was going to be very close. As the finish line loomed in front of me and I was about to cross, suddenly everything went into an agonizing slow motion. My legs turned to lead. I had to muster every last ounce of energy in order to propel my leg forward for the last step. As soon as my foot touched the finish line, everything exploded back into real time. I looked up and I saw the timer above my head: 07:07:07. I had won second place – a silver medal.

In the Bible, seven is used to represent completion or perfection. Three speaks of perfect unity (like the Trinity). Silver is the colour of redemption. So in the midst of my dark despair I felt the Lord was speaking to my heart that this was the time for “complete redemption”.

As I awoke from the dream, one line from a song was playing over and over loudly in my spirit: Here is our King, Here is our Love. It’s from a song by David Crowder but I had only ever heard it once and this was the only line I could remember. The song wouldn’t leave me and my spirit was stirring so much I got a copy of the song from a friend and put it on the stereo in my living room. As soon as I listened to it, I felt strength enter into my spirit. So I put it on again. And again. If the truth be told, I listened to that same song for over 3 hours. (For lyrics and downloads of this song, see the bottom of the article)

But as I listened I literally felt like I was coming alive. Hope was coming to my spirit. Peace. Joy.

There is one line in the song – simple yet powerful.

Majesty. Finally. Here.

As I heard this suddenly a vision opened before my eyes. It was like a scene from medieval days. I saw a castle and then I saw myself; I was dressed like a queen. I was outside tending to a garden on a warm summer day. Suddenly I heard the sound of someone coming up the road far in the distance. As I strained to see, a kingly procession came into view. In an instant I knew that the king had been away at battle for a long time and was now just returning. I was overcome not only with love and joy but with this incredible feeling of relief, realizing that now that he was home, I wouldn’t have to fight or labour to protect myself or the kingdom anymore. I started running towards him and he looked up; when he saw me, he too began to run towards me. Just before we met our eyes locked and I saw the most intense look of love and desire I have ever seen in my entire life. I leapt into his arms, weeping and I buried my face in his chest repeatedly saying “It’s finally over! It’s finally over! It’s finally over!”.

The vision ended and I found myself back in my living room, but everything I had experienced was fresh inside of me. I felt the intensity of God’s passionate desire to be with me in a way I had never experienced it before. And I felt that years of waiting for Him to be revealed not just as My Lord but as The Lord, The Majestic and Mighty One, The Awesome God, were finally over. Somehow I knew now that the times are set – things are in motion – the King is coming back into the land and there is nothing the enemy can do about it. I started laughing, crying, and jumping all at once.

I believe what I experienced is where many of us are at right now. We have been running a long long race. We sense that the finish line, the end of this season, is in sight but there is an intense pressure trying to slow us down. Sometimes it feels like it’s all we can do to focus to put one foot in front of the other. That is why this consecration call is so key. In it, we are choosing to focus to cross the finish line. When we do we will enter this new Kingdom era where we will find redemption in our lives in a way we have never experienced before.

A few months before this experience the Lord spoke something interesting to me. I was praying about the next season and He said, “Stephanie, do not fall into the destructive cycle of trying to prepare yourself for what lies ahead. Fall back into My arms and rest and I’ll do the rest”. I think so many times we strive to fix our weaknesses because we are afraid if we don’t, we will miss our destiny or what God has for us. But I believe what the Lord wants us to know it’s not our efforts to protect or secure our lives/destinies or even our obedience that will win the day – it will be because the King we love has come to rule in His kingdom. And who dares to stand against Him?

I believe one thing the Lord longs to do for us during this consecration call is to awaken hope. Not a hope based on us stirring ourselves up to believe another prophetic word or another promise – even though these are wonderful. But a hope that is based on a deep revelation of God’s unchanging nature and of His unfathomable love for us.

Men swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument. Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. Hebrews 6:16-19

If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died-more than that, who was raised to life-is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 8:31-39

If you feel the Lord is stirring your heart to hope again, please pray this prayer with me.

Lord, I choose to believe, no matter what things look like, that this is a season of redemption. You are able to redeem all things and make them beautiful in your timing. Lord I ask you to reveal yourself to me in a new and deeper way. I want my heart to be anchored on the knowledge that you are unchanging and that it is impossible for you to lie. Lord please give me a deeper revelation of your love for me in the way that I need to hear and see it in my life. Lord I choose today to cease from my labours, from all my attempts to fix my brokenness and weaknesses and I fall into your arms. Teach me in this season how to rest safe and secure in You, Jesus. Amen.

From wherever spring arrives to heal the ground
From wherever searching comes
(The look itself a trace of what we’re looking for)
So be quiet now...and wait
The ocean is growing
The tide is coming in
Here it is...

Here is our King
Here is our love
Here is our God who’s come
To bring us back to Him
He is the One
He is Jesus

And what was said to the rose
To make it unfold
Was said to me here in my chest
So be quiet now...and rest
The ocean is growing
The tide is coming in
Here it is...

Majesty...
Finally...
Here
