Day 52 – He Has the Plan!Thursday September 13
Day 52 is finally here - we made it! Today all over our nation thousands of believers will be gathering in churches and in their homes to worship and make declarations about the goodness of God and to thank God for giving us the faith to believe that it’s now time to enter the Promised Land and possess our inheritances! For many of you, you may be the only person in your community who has been following the call. You may be tempted to feel alone but don’t! You need to know that there is a whole body of believers, people just like you, all over Canada and the world, who will be standing as lights in their communities today as well. We encourage you to download the worship clips and the declarations and as Rosh Hashanah begins tonite at sundown, sing and make the declarations with all your heart – knowing that you are part of a huge body of believers worldwide who are doing the same!
It’s amazing to look back over the 52 days of this consecration call and see how the Lord led us. When we began we didn’t have a plan but we committed ourselves to the process of walking as a team, hearing the Lord one step at a time and doing only what He told us to do.
A huge blessing to our team has been that we have experienced walking in corporate unity in a way that none of us ever has before. Our team was spread throughout Canada in 6 time zones, yet through email and conference calls, God truly knit our hearts together. We watched in amazement as different members of the team joined at different times and God fit each one in exactly in the right place at the right time. We lived what we were writing about as we began to function together as one body with every joint supplying. And even though some of us were already friends, we fell in love with one another at a far deeper level to the point that if we didn’t connect for a day or so, it was almost unbearable!
Of course you weren’t but the Lord did this to teach us a very important lesson - that we weren’t the ones leading the consecration call - He was and He could and would speak to whomever He wanted. Our job was just to keep our ears open to hear His voice, no matter where it was coming from and then be obedient to release it however He would tell us to do so. Sometimes we were directed to take dreams or stories or exhortations or scriptures that had come in and weave them into that day’s email. Other times songs someone mentioned were what He wanted us to use. So each email was truly a collaborative effort of many. And once we decided to release the posts as a team and not as individuals, those of us who were doing the actual writing could feel a different kind of anointing that we can only describe as “corporate”. There was a sharpness and clarity in understanding and communicating that went beyond anything we had personally experienced in our natural giftings or anointing before. It was truly an extraordinary experience.
There is a wonderful verse in Ephesians 1:11-12 that sums up what we’ve learned on this consecration call:
In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:11-12
Sometimes we find it hard to be obedient to the steps the Lord gives us without knowing the big picture. But we can rest knowing there IS a plan – He HAS the plan – and it is a plan that will bring everything into perfect alignment with His will to make us a praise to the glory of His name. All the pressure is off us! We don’t have to know the whole plan or make the plan work, we just have to listen to Him and do what He says, no matter how small and silly or great and impossible it seems and He will orchestrate our lives into His great master plan.
Last summer at Consumed the worship team entered into a beautiful time of prophetic declaration that is a wonderful summary of journey these last 52 days. We like to call it “King of Kings”. Today as one army who has been set free and healed and given the faith to possess, let’s stand together and sing these declarations and pray the following prayer to seal these 52 days before the Lord.
Lord our hearts are overflowing with thankfulness for all that You have done for us during these 52 days. You have revealed Yourself to us in new ways, You have freed us from the snares of the enemy that were binding us, You have bound up our broken hearts and spoken hope into the places where we felt without hope. God we know that You have done all of this because You love us and you want us to live in alignment to the purpose of Your will in order that we might be for the praise of Your glory. That’s our heart’s desire too, God and so we say Lord we trust You! You have the plan and we commit to walk every day hearing Your voice and being obedient to do whatever You tell us, as Your grace enables us and gives us strength. In the name of Jesus, we pray! Thank you for walking this incredible adventure together with us this last 52 days. We look forward with eager anticipation to our next step together – the provincial gatherings – as God begins to lead us into the Promised Land to fight together as brothers to claim our inheritances as individuals, families, churches, cities, provinces and nation!
