Day 19 - Grace Grace Grace Sometimes when the Lord wants to speak to us He will bring something repeatedly across our path. Maybe we hear the same phrase over and over again from different people. Or we see the same image. Or we “happen” to notice the clock at exactly the same time every day. Recently one of our prophetic friends had the number “111” brought to her attention in this way. In the Bible, one symbolizes beginnings, while three is the number of divine fullness or unity. A few days later this friend and her husband were going out for breakfast and they parked in front of an abandoned store. As she looked up to her surprise she saw that the address on the window of the store was 111 and the name of it was “Gracious Living”. Immediately the Holy Spirit spoke to her: “If I were to market ‘grace’ to My Church today, I too, would be like this store…out of business. But this is the time when I want to bring My people into a place of new beginnings by My grace.” Before we can pass into the new season (new beginnings) the Lord has for us, there is a separation happening. The Lord is separating us from the old ways and old thought patterns, the “tares” (weeds) that have sprung up from the bad seeds (lies) that the enemy has sown in our hearts and minds. (Matthew 13:24-30) This is what this process of circumcision and healing is about. God is not looking only to cut down the down the weeds but to go to the seeds themselves and root them out so that there is nothing left to produce the weeds anymore. God is not looking just for a one-time breakthrough but He is looking to transform our hearts and minds and our way of life, permanently. But the best news of all is that this transformation will not come by human effort but by His grace. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 When we accepted Christ as Saviour, we entered into a new season of life and were transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of Light, the Kingdom of God’s dear son. All of this was by grace. In fact many of us weren’t even looking for God but when He captured our hearts, He gave us, as a gift, the faith to believe in Him. And so we believe it will be in this season of transition to the kingdom. God wants us to walk free from cycles of death in our lives and to receive a new level of faith to possess the promises, but this is not something we have to strive for or become anxious to attain. It’s something He means to bring us into by the working of His Mighty Hand through His amazing grace. "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the LORD of hosts. ’Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of "Grace, grace to it!" ' " Then the word of the LORD came to me: "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you. Zechariah 4:6-9 Zerubbabel was a man who understood the struggle with hope deferred. Originally he had returned with the exiles from Babylon to rebuild the temple. But after the foundation was laid, a new king came to power and the mandate to build was revoked. More than 15 long years had passed and now the foundation was covered with weeds and debris. In the natural things looked pretty grim. Then one day God spoke to Zerubabbel through Zechariah. The message? What God had asked Zerubbabel to start, he was going to finish - not by his own effort or strength – but by the power of God’s own Spirit. Zerubbabel’s would lay the capstone with his own hands and shouts of grace grace would testify to the fact that what God had started He was more than able to complete. Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16 We are the temple of God. And in this season, God wants to come to the broken down places in our lives where our dreams lie shattered and seemingly beyond repair. In this place of hopelessness, God wants to give us powerful revelation of Who He Is so that the Chief Cornerstone, Jesus, might be layed, by grace, into the foundation of our lives. Today and tomorrow, our weekly day of rest (remember there will not be any postings for tomorrow), let’s take time to simply enter deeply into the Presence of the Lord. Like Moses, let’s journey up the mountain to be with Him that He might reveal Himself to us, like He desires. Let’s pray this prayer together. God I thank you for the window of grace that you are opening over me in this time and I declare that I trust that You are able to complete everything that you started in my life. I believe that every dream, every vision, every promise for my life, my family, church, city, province and nation – they are all Yes! and Amen! in You Jesus. God more than anything, I long to encounter You face-to-face. I ask you Lord to set the Chief Cornerstone again firmly into my life – a revelation of Jesus Christ that the gates of hell cannot prevail against. In Jesus name, amen! Comments Hauke
I was touched by what you shared about
the woman who kept seeing the number "111". I, too, have seen this number in
stunning ways that suggested the Holy Spirit of God was showing it to me, kind
of like a holy wink, to let me know He was ... IS ... watching over me. |
