One thing that has consistently amazed me in our journey over the last 12 years is the infinite wisdom and the boundless creativity of the Lord. When we first began praying in the early 1990s for the Lord to show us what was holding back His favour from our nation, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought He would say our sins against the Jewish people (click here for more info on our journey). And when we sought healing for the deep wounds of the First Nations, the Lord surprised us by asking us to first deal with the French and English.

In every step we have learned this principle – that if we are faithful to commit to listen to God and to refuse to initiate according to our own human wisdom and we are then obedient to whatever He asks no matter how simple or strange it may seen, we will find ourselves landing in things far bigger than we have understood. That is in its essence the walk of faith: moving without understanding by obedience trusting that one day the why will be clearer.

I feel this consecration call is another example of this. As you know originally we thought we would be gathering this summer in Montreal. But as the season progressed, the Lord was clear to us that there were additional steps of preparation we had to walk in as a nation before we would be ready to be released to His purposes for our gathering in Montreal. One of these steps was the leadership gatherings that we completed in June across the country – reconnecting the leadership and seeking the Lord together. And now this consecration call we believe is another such a step.

I can tell you it was difficult to write the first call for consecration. We worked on it for almost a week, writing and re-writing because we didn’t know how to express what we were feeling. What exactly were we calling people to – it was difficult because there was nothing concrete – like a fast – to which we could anchor ourselves.

It wasn’t until after we sent out the first call that people began reminding us about Nehemiah and the 52 days to rebuild the walls. Immediately it witnessed in our spirits that even though we hadn’t known or planned this – this was clearly what the Lord was targeting. So we released the second call, 52 Days to Rebuild the Wall of Faith, last week.

Not only have a lot of people joined the call, we have also been receiving an overwhelming amount of communications, through the sharing reports and kingdom@watchmen.org. Over and over the story is the same: people who are participating in the call are experiencing personal breakthroughs as well as receiving revelation (strategies, visions, dreams, scriptures etc.) at new levels than they have ever experienced before.

As I have been pondering all this, I realized that the Lord is doing something very unexpected with us. He is allowing the same anointing, the same presence of God that we have experienced when we gather corporately, physically in one place to now be multiplied out as we gather “virtually” throughout the nation and the world. When we were at One Heart the Lord spoke prophetically to us that the ark (a symbol of God’s manifest presence) would no longer be taken away from the church of Canada but that “in our corporateness, there the ark is”. But I believe God is stretching our minds through this call, to see unity in the body in a whole new way. As long as we position our hearts in obedience to hear and respond to the call of the Lord, there is a corporate anointing that is released in the spirit that allows God to manifest His presence to us as individuals and in our families and churches and cities, the same as if we were all gathered together in one room. That is amazing!

there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.'" So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet-a vast army. Ezekiel 37:8-10

I feel as we have come together to hear corporately what the Lord is speaking to us prophetically throughout the nation, the breath of God is entering into us and we are coming to life. A vast army is being mobilized!

I know sometimes people can feel that because they have missed the first days that they are disqualified. But the Lord really spoke to me this week out of the parable of Matt 20:1-16 about the labourers who were being hired throughout the day. Some were hired early in the morning, others at the 11th hour – but when it came time to be paid, they all received the same wage. I believe that God will speak to people throughout the 52 days and my faith is that even if someone joins in on Day 51, he will receive the same blessing as those who heard and responded on Day 1. I’m personally very excited about these sections because one of the core values in Watchmen is our desire to give the Lord the right and pleasure to speak through anyone He chooses in His body regardless of whether they have a recognized position or not. There are many faithful people unknown to man but known by God and our heart as leadership is not to be the only channel of the voice of the Lord but to be a facilitator to release these hidden “Davids” as the Lord desires.
