Our Vision

At different times throughout the history of the church, God had gathered groups (remnants) of people together and given them specific mandates to contend for the breakthrough of one of more Kingdom truths until they become accessible to and established in a wider representation of the body of Christ.  We believe God has called together a company of believers in Canada under the banner of Watchmen for the Nations for just such a purpose.

Watchmen for the Nations was founded by Pastor Bob Birch in the early 1990s in response to God's call to stand on guard for Canada..  Watchmen is a family of Christian believers from many regions, denominations, ethnic backgrounds and spheres of influence (local church, itinerant ministry, business, politics, media, education, arts) who share a common heart cry was to see the glory of God fill the church of Canada like the waters cover the sea.  While we are so thankful for every visitation of the Lord (revival/touches/moves of God), our longing is to see habitation, the permanent and continuous manifestation of the Presence of God filling the Church even as we have been promised (Haggai 2:9).

Our conviction is that at least two key steps are needed for the Church to become this resting place for the Lord: 1) that the prayer of Jesus in John 17 for unity in the body will be fulfilled and 2) that believers will maintain a lifestyle of posturing themselves before the Lord to "hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church" both for their individual lives but also corporately as families, churches, and along with other believers in our cities, provinces and nation.
